Public Information Request Procedure
RIGHTS OF PUBLIC INFORMATION APPLICANTS
Based on Article 4 of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure, it is stated that:

Every person has the right to obtain Public Information in accordance with the provisions of this Law.

Everyone has the right:
-
View and know Public Information;
-
Attend public meetings that are open to the public to obtain Public Information;

Obtaining a copy of Public Information through a request in accordance with this Law; and/or
-
Disseminating Public Information in accordance with laws and regulations.

Every Public Information Applicant has the right to submit a request for Public Information accompanied by the reasons for the request.

Every applicant for Public Information has the right to file a lawsuit in court if they encounter obstacles or failure in obtaining Public Information in accordance with the provisions of this Law.
OBLIGATIONS OF USERS OF PUBLIC INFORMATION
Based on Article 5 of Law Number 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Disclosure, it is stated that:

Users of Public Information are required to use Public Information in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.

Users of Public Information are required to state the source from which they obtained the Public Information, whether for their own use or for publication purposes in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations.
PROCEDURES FOR REQUESTING PUBLIC INFORMATION
Public Information Request submits a Public Information request to BSPJI Palembang through the Information and Documentation Management Officer (PPID) either directly or indirectly (letter, email, telephone).
Requests for Public Information must request proof from the Information Officer that the request for information has been made, as well as the request registration number.
The Information Officer will record the identity, name & address of the applicant for Public Information, the subject of the type of information requested, the form of information requested and the delivery of the desired information.
PPID provides an answer regarding whether the information is met or not, within 10 (ten) working days and can be extended for 7 (seven) working day
